As a statewide arts advocacy organization, Arizona Citizens for the Arts works to promote arts-friendly public policy at the state level and in Arizona’s local communities.

Arts Congress

Hosted each February by Arizona Citizens for the Arts, Arizona Arts Congress is the annual convening of Arizona arts advocates. At Arts Congress, attendees acquire new advocacy tools and resources and meet with legislators and other public officials to discuss arts policy, arts education and public funding for the arts.

Governor’s Arts Awards

The Governor’s Arts Awards are presented annually by Arizona Citizens for the Arts, the Arizona Commission on the Arts and the Office of the Governor of Arizona to recognize outstanding achievement and contributions to the Arizona arts community by Arizona artists, arts organizations, businesses, educators and individuals. The awards honor not only the creative talents of Arizona’s diverse arts and cultural community, but the passion of those who support the arts in Arizona’s schools and communities.
