Join us at the Arizona Commission on the Arts offices, August 2, for a free workshop designed to help artists craft superior grant applications. Whether you’re an emerging artist just learning the ropes or a seasoned pro looking to polish your presentation, this workshop covers the fundamentals while offering an insiders perspective on what funders and review panelists are looking for in a grant application. Using the Arts Commission’s Artist Research and Development Grant as a model, participants will learn the essential components of a strong application as they play the role of reviewers in a mock grant review panel.

Creative Aging Workshop for Teaching Artists

Through panel discussions, interactive learning sessions, and dynamic presentations, facilitators will address a holistic approach to thinking about the fundamentals of Creative Aging and the aging process.

The Arizona Commission on the Arts is partnering with Arizona the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) to engage Arizona communities in conversations about arts education and advocacy during a statewide tour this Winter. Our first stop: Flagstaff on November 29, 2017.

These community conversations are free and open to the public. We particularly encourage students, teachers, teaching artists, community arts workers, administrators, parents, and policymakers to attend. We want to hear your insights, questions, and concerns and learn about the challenges and opportunities you see for arts education in your community’s schools. Data collected through these community conversations will be reviewed by the Arts Advisory & Action Committee’s leadership team and communicated to education and civic leaders throughout the state.

Interested parties should RSVP to Dustin Loehr, ADE’s Arts Education Specialist, three days prior to any A3C Meeting to ensure a spot.
