On Friday, April 21, 2023, Governor Katie Hobbs announced key appointments to the Arizona Commission on the Arts. According to the press release, “these appointments will enhance the work of the [commission] by bringing new voices to the table… and helping our arts community thrive.”
The Arizona Commission on the Arts, an agency of the State of Arizona, announced on March 22, 2023, the appointment of Dawn Wallace as chair of its board of commissioners. Wallace assumes the position previously occupied by Mark Feldman, who served as board chair for 11 years.
Awarded through a competitive application and review process, these $5,000 grants support Arizona artists as they work to advance their artistic practice, expand their creative horizons, and deepen the impact of their work.
