Building Blocks for Financial Health: Metrics and Planning – Phoenix, AZ (November 5 2018 @ 10 AM MT)

Join us to hear key updates and news from SMU DataArts, followed by a deep dive into two elements of financial health: financial metrics, and financial projections. You will apply these concepts in small groups with practice scenarios, and learn about tools and educational resources available from DataArts to help you apply the concepts at your own organization. This workshop will build your understanding of non-profit financial concepts and help you get more out of your Cultural Data Profile.

The workshop will be held upstairs in the Dancer’s Lounge.

Piper Trust, are pleased to offer regional, in-person training workshops to enrich your understanding of the data you submit to SMU DataArts’ Cultural Data Project. Workshops were designed based on the responses you provided in recent surveys and will include opportunities to meet SMU DataArts staff and ask questions specific to your organization.

Additionally, our friends at the Flinn Foundation invite all workshop participants to join a lunch hour discussion alongside the workshop. A light lunch will be provided for those who RSVP. Your lunch RSVP is separate from your registration for the workshop(s), so be sure to do both.

This workshop will dive into how to use SMU DataArts’ free tools to help you better understand how to analyze trends in your data, benchmark against peer organizations, and gain insight into your work with key performance indicators. This session is ideal for those who have already completed at least one Cultural Data Profile Survey, although new users are also welcome.

This workshop is produced in partnership with the Arizona Commission on the Arts, the City of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture, and Ballet Arizona.
