Join the Arizona Commission on the Arts at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix on June 28, for a free workshop designed to help artists craft superior grant applications. Whether you’re an emerging artist just learning the ropes or a seasoned pro looking to polish your presentation, this workshop covers the fundamentals while offering an insiders perspective on what funders and review panelists are looking for in a grant application. Using the Arts Commission’s Artist Research and Development Grant as a model, participants will learn the essential components of a strong application as they play the role of reviewers in a mock grant review panel.
This workshop is free and open to all, but space is limited. Advanced registration is required.
To help you prepare your Artist Research and Development Grant application, the Arts Commission will present an online information session.
During a live webinar-style presentation, Arts Commission staff will walk potential applicants through the ARDG guidelines while offering tips and resources for successful grantwriting. Shortly after the live presentation, a recording will be posted to this page.

Through panel discussions, interactive learning sessions, and dynamic presentations, facilitators will address a holistic approach to thinking about the fundamentals of Creative Aging and the aging process.

Artist Opportunity Grants provide funding support to Arizona artists as they take advantage of specific, unique opportunities that have the potential to significantly impact an artist’s work and career. This grant supports and empowers artists at critical stages in their creative lives as you work to raise the profile of your artistic practice and continue to innovate your work.
Application & Review Timelines
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
Applications are due the 15th of every month between February and May 2019.
Applications will be reviewed, and applicants notified within two weeks of the due date.
Funds are limited; grants will be awarded until all available funds are expended.
Due Dates
Friday, February 15; Friday, March 15; Monday, April 15; Wednesday, May 15.
Funding Period
Eligible opportunities must take place between January 1 – June 30, 2019.
