Apply Now: Artist Opportunity Grant

Through Artist Opportunity Grants (AOGs) the State of Arizona invests in one of its greatest resources: artists. Open to artists of all disciplines and career stages, Artist Opportunity Grants help Arizona artists take advantage of unique opportunities that can significantly boost their careers.

Announcing Statewide Tour, Community Conversations

As part of a year-long strategic planning process, the Arizona Commission on the Arts is hitting the road! Throughout the spring and summer of 2025, Arts Commission staff and board members will be visiting communities across the state to host a series of 90-minute facilitated discussions about the roles the arts play in our lives and communities.


Fiscal Year 2026 Grant Review Panel Meetings

Beginning on May 27, 2025, panels made up of artists, arts professionals, educators, and community members will convene virtually to review grant applications from nonprofit arts organizations, arts engagement programs, and arts festivals throughout the state. These panel review meetings are open to the public and live-streamed online.

Meet José Herrera, the Arts Commission’s New Deputy Director

The Arizona Commission on the Arts is pleased to announce the hire of José Herrera to the position of Deputy Director! He is passionate about growing the impact of the arts statewide and supporting the creative individuals and organizations that help Arizona thrive.

The Arizona Commission on the Arts provides a variety of programs, resources and tools in support of lifelong learning in, through and about the arts.

Organizations look to the Arizona Commission on the Arts for funding opportunities, research materials, consultant services and personalized service from professional staff.

With intuitive controls and myriad visualization options, the Arts Education Data Explorer allows users to venture deep into the state’s arts education data.

Grants

Awarding grants to arts organizations and schools is at the center of the Arizona Commission on the Arts’ service. In this effort grant applicants are our partners, providing direct arts experiences throughout Arizona.
