After two years of pandemic-era emergency support and recovery programs, the Arizona Commission on the Arts is pleased to resume its regular grantmaking schedule for FY2023. Available grants include support for nonprofit arts organizations, arts festivals, and arts learning programs for learners of all ages!
Creative Capacity Grant
Creative Capacity Grants provide unrestricted general operating support to arts and culture organizations of all sizes, local arts agencies, and arts and culture organizations from Tribal Nations, whose primary mission is to produce, present, teach or serve the arts.
Festival Grant
Festival Grants support organizations in their efforts to provide quality arts programming through festival activities and are awarded to assist with the costs of connecting artists (or their artistic work) with communities.
Youth Arts Engagement Grant
Youth Arts Engagement Grants support programs focused on young people ages 24 and under that occur outside of traditional school hours, and which provide creative expression in safe and nurturing environments, are rooted in youth voices, narratives and perspectives, and utilize the assets of the community being served.
Lifelong Arts Engagement Grant
Lifelong Arts Engagement Grants support projects that foster meaningful arts learning experiences in community settings for adult learners of any age. Projects can include, but are not limited to, using creative expression to improve quality of life for older adults (Creative Aging), intergenerational projects, and/or providing sequential hands on learning in, through, or about the arts for adult learners.
One Organization, One Funding Period, One Grant
While an organization or unit of government may be eligible for more than one grant program, they may only apply for one of them in a given funding period. As an example, an applicant who applies to the Creative Capacity Grant program or the Festivals Grant program in Fiscal Year 2023 may not apply for a Lifelong Arts Engagement Grant that same year.
