On March 7, 2020, Sylvia Dale, a senior at Ganado high School in Ganado, AZ, won the title of State Champion at the 2020 Arizona Poetry Out Loud state finals. In an alternate 2020, she would have travelled to Washington, DC, this week to represent the State of Arizona at the national competition.

Though this year’s national competition was canceled due to COVID-19, we invite you to join us in celebrating Sylvia and the poetry she selected to memorize and give powerful voice to.

Use the form below to share a message of congratulations with Sylvia and we’ll pass it along!
