Join fans of poetry and performance from across the state on Saturday, March 11, for the live webcast of the 2023 Arizona Poetry Out Loud State Finals!

Administered by University of Arizona Poetry Center, in partnership with the Arizona Commission on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts and the the Poetry Foundation, Arizona Poetry Out Loud invites the dynamic aspects of slam poetry, spoken word, and theater into English classes across Arizona. Through Poetry Out Loud, students can master public speaking skills, build self-confidence and learn about their literary heritage.

On Saturday, March 11, nine exceptional young people will compete for the opportunity to represent the State of Arizona at the Poetry Out Loud National Finals in Washington, DC, and a shot at the grand prize: a $20,000 college scholarship.
