Show Low resident Lisa Jayne has been appointed to the governing board of the Arizona Commission on the Arts. Jayne will replace Dr. Robert Breunig of Flagstaff who completed his second 3-year term as a Commissioner in July 2014.

Tucson Poet Logan Phillips to read from new poetry collection at book release event in Phoenix

The Arizona Commission on the Arts and the ASU School of Theatre and Film’s Performance in the Borderlands will present an evening of poetry and performance commemorating the release of Sonoran Strange, a book-length poetry collection by Tucson poet Logan Phillips, on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. The event is sponsored by AZ Humanities.

Between January 12 and January 20, 2015, the Arizona Commission on the Arts, an agency of the State of Arizona, awarded grants to 16 arts-based ventures through the second year of its fast-pitch grant program, Arizona Art Tank.
Arts Commission Awards Artist Research and Development Grants to 13 Arizona Artists
On December 29, 2014, the Arizona Commission on the Arts announced the recipients of Artist Research and Development Grants for Fiscal Year 2015. This highly-competitive grant program awards funding to Arizona artists practicing in a variety of artistic disciplines in support of research and development leading to the creation of new works of art. This year, 13 of 95 applicants received up to $5,000 in funding.
