The Arizona Commission on the Arts is pleased to offer the Musician Changemaker Accelerator (MCA) Workshop in collaboration with national nonprofit Music to Life. Through MCA, up to ten Arizona-based musicians will receive hands-on training and funding support to create and deliver sustainable, music-driven social change programs within their communities.
Workshop Description
MCA is a ‘deep-dive’ business-skills workshop where artists receive training in proposal development, identifying good-fit partners, and mobilizing community support. MCA will help each musician develop a draft outline of their program idea, fundraising, and partnership ideas, and an individualized artist changemaker statement.
Space for this workshop will be limited to 10 participants.
Workshop Dates
The MCA Workshop series will take place virtually on the evenings of March 3, 5, 10, and 12, 2025.
Funding Support
Participating musicians will receive a $1000 stipend for participation.
Post-workshop Support
Following the workshop, participants will be invited to a 2-hour follow up technical assistance session (currently scheduled for April 9, 2025) with local mentors to help formulate grants, partnerships, and troubleshoot program challenges.
Participating artists will also be invited to join Music to Life’s regional/national online Workshop “Reunions” and may qualify for Music to Life’s Juried Artist Roster with ongoing performance, educational, and grants opportunities.
