Sometimes working in the arts can be compared to a great Stephen Sondheim medley. A bit of “Putting it Together” from Sunday in the Park with George, a dash of “I’m Still Here” from Follies, and a verse or two from “Love Takes Time” from A Little Night Music.
Like any good production you count on your creative team – actors, musicians, composers, designers, stage crew, and a great stage manager to create the magic. In the end, if you are lucky, you have a performance that though it is never quite the same each night, it is brilliant in its ensemble work and inspiring to its audience.
We hope that our new website is just that: an example of the hard work of the Arts Commission team, a reflection of the many individuals who work daily to support a dynamic arts industry in Arizona, and a few great tunes.
