Mesa Arts Center seeks a Performing Artist Relations Coordinator to work in collaboration with the Director of Theaters in planning, organizing, scheduling, and promoting, concerts and special events. Duties will include supporting communications with agents, management, or promoters during the contracting of shows/entertainers. This position assists with the management of artist contracts; organizes contract requirements such as: artist relations, hospitality, catering, and transportation; and performs other related duties as assigned. This position will require initiative and judgement in coordinating entertainment for arts and cultural events or closely related programs. Work is subject to irregular hours (evenings, weekends, and/or holidays) to meet the demands of scheduled events. Position requires any combination of experience, training, and education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Theater, Dance, Music, Arts Administration, Facility Management, or related field. Considerable (3-5 years) experiences related to the arts and entertainment such as production, booking, concert coordination, or theater management. A Master’s Degree in a related field and/or prior experience presenting the performing arts are highly desired.
