Next week, May 1 through 4, 2011, the 98th Arizona Town Hall will convene in Tucson, and, for the first time, it will focus on issues facing Arizona’s arts and culture sector. Approximately 150 Arizona citizens will convene to consider and discuss arts and culture in our state.

Congratulations to the Honorees of the 30th Annual Governor’s Arts Awards!  The Arizona Governor’s Arts Awards, the largest annual statewide gathering of arts and culture supporters, celebrated a milestone in 2011 with the 30th anniversary presentation recognizing extraordinary contributions of artists, arts organizations, businesses, educators and individuals to the quality of life in our state.

The Cultural Data Project (CDP) offers many unique perks for arts and cultural organizations. In addition to its use as a tool for presenting reliable data about Arizona’s cultural sector to researchers and policy makers, the CDP is also a report-generating machine for organizations. This weekend, Arizona dance company CONDER/dance will present their spring concert, The Comfort of Strangers. CONDER/dance will contribute a portion of the proceeds from tickets sales on Friday, April 15, to The Choice is Art and Arizona ArtShare.
