This week-long Training Institute will focus on the role of the arts in healthcare and creative aging, providing artists, arts educators, administrators, social workers and healthcare staff with both the theoretical and didactic approaches necessary to develop, implement and sustain high-quality arts programming in a variety of settings for people living with illness as well as older adults across the aging spectrum. Selected trainees will be given everything they need to create “best practice” arts programs in community and senior centers, hospital, healthcare, nursing homes and long-term care facilities, along with rehabilitation, palliative and hospice settings.
