Critical Response Process with Phil Weaver-Stoesz

A demonstration of the Critical Response Process- a method for giving and receiving feedback and critique. The process is designed to deepen responders’ understanding and interpretation of works and give a sense of agency and confidence for teachers, administrators, writers, and creators seeking to improve their craft

Suzuki Method and Viewpoints Workshop with Hira Ismail

November 23, 2019, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
A voice training workshop in Suzuki method- designed to increase the body’s capacity to move and speak with clarity and impact. This method is combined with Viewpoints, a practice that allows one to explore space, time, movement, shape, emotion, and story in theatre. Artists, teachers, and creators can utilize this knowledge to train their awareness, build an ensemble, and create compositions.

Media and Projection Design Workshop with Muneera Batool

November 23, 2019, 2:30 – 5:00 pm
A workshop involving the hands-on use of video design, photography, and projection design. The work created in groups of three or four could be projected on any surface of the attendants’ choice (e.g. statues, floor, roof, multiple walls, plants, trees etc).

Arts Integration Workshop with Nikki Rosengren

November 24, 2019, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
An embodied workshop exploring the tips and tricks of how educators can incorporate theatrical and artistic experiences into the classroom. The participants will develop a set of tools that can be incorporated into a variety of lesson plans and subjects.
