Create! Magazine Is Pleased To Announce An International Open Call For The Print Issue #24 Juried By Christopher Jobson, Founder Of Colossal.

Have your work seen by our 170,000+ readers and followers around the world, including leading galleries, art fairs, collectors, curators, writers, art consultants, and more.

A portion of all submission fees will go to the Tessera Arts Collective and Black Girls Who Pain

Deeply fascinated by contemporary art and visual culture, Christopher launched Colossal as a personal blog in the fall of 2010 to catalogue the work of both established and emerging artists across a wide-range of artistic disciplines. The site attracted millions of monthly readers seemingly overnight, and within two years he was able to quit his day job to publish full-time and also opened a fun design shop. Colossal is the recipient of the Utne Media Award for arts coverage, a Webby Award nomination, and has received accolades from the National Endowment for the Arts and PBS Art21.

Called the “Tate Modern of the Internet,” Colossal now has seven regular contributors and is committed to making art accessible to everyone, exploring street art, design, photography, illustration, and craft from all reaches of the globe. In addition to daily articles at Colossal, Christopher has also contributed to Wired Magazine, Beautiful/Decay, Mental Floss, Slate, Designboom, and Quartz.

After engaging with thousands of artists, designers, and makers both online and off, Christopher is bringing art to unexpected places offline through noteworthy exhibitions and events currently slated through 2020. These varied projects promise to be as wildly exciting and original as the work appearing on Colossal each day.
