Kore Digital Gallery is excited to launch our first public call for art! The focus of this theme is going to be Pet/Animal Portraits. From ancient Roman mosaics to today, pet portraiture has been an often underrated and yet integral part of art history. In this show we want to highlight the most innovative, interesting, or weird pet & animal portraits that you have to offer. All artists beginner to professional are welcome to submit, and all visual mediums are accepted (including video).
SELECTION
We will select 10-20 artworks (based on submission volume) that best suit our theme and aesthetic considerations to be curated into a digital art show. Best in show prize – $150, name and image featured on our homepage as the link to the show. #2 – $50.
DEADLINE
Submission deadline is April 30, 2023.
ELIGIBILITY
Artists of all levels are welcome to submit, and we accept any visual medium (painting, drawing, sculpture, photo, video, digital, etc). Due to hosting limitations, any video submissions must be uploaded to a third-party hosting site such as YouTube or others.
SUBMISSION FEE
We require a $30 non-refundable application fee per submission.
SUBMISSION
You may enter up to 3 works of art per submission. If you would like to submit more, you may enter an additional submission by using the same form again (you will be charged full price again).
Submitted images must be at least 1500 pixels on the longest side and no larger than 20mb.
Humans are allowed in the artwork but the main focus should be the animal(s).
NOTIFICATION
Notification of results will be delivered via email on May 15, 2023, and everyone who submitted will be notified of their results.
