This is our original arrangement for flute and guitar of “She Moved Through the Fair”, a medieval Irish folk song. The song has a haunting melody with lyrics that tell the story of a man and the woman he hopes to marry. Unfortunately, he ends up disappointed. Although it was originally written for voice, we believe the flute and guitar capture the melancholic beauty of the song. We present this to audiences to show how the music and stories of the past can still be relevant today.

This is our video clip of “Recuerdos de la Alhambra” (“Memories of the Alhambra”) which was originally written for guitar in 1896 by Spanish composer Francisco Tárrega. It was written using an advanced guitar tremolo technique. Because of this technique, the original is often mistaken for a duet. So, in this transcription, we present it as a true duet with the tremolo melody on flute and the accompanying harmony on guitar. Whenever we perform this work, we find audiences are enchanted.
