2015 is the 50th anniversary of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). To better recount the story of the federal agency’s first 50 years, the NEA has issued a general invitation to all Americans: share your story of how the arts have influenced your life.

How have the arts inspired you to do something unique? How have they made a difference among you and your family and in the communities and neighborhoods in which you live? If there is a specific NEA grant that has had an impact on you and your community, the NEA wants to hear about it.

To make sharing your story as simple as possible, the NEA has created a submission form on their website. Just fill in the blanks and submit. In addition to or instead of a narrative, you can also tell your story through photos, video and/or audio.

Starting September 29, the official birthday of the NEA, they will begin posting stories on their website and promoting them across their social media.

Let make sure that Arizona’s story is among those told in September. Share your story today!
