Each year, Arizona Citizens for the Arts partners with the Office of the Governor to honor Arizona artists, arts organizations, businesses, educators and individuals that best represent the excellence and diversity of Arizona’s arts and cultural community. Since 1981, the Governor’s Arts Awards have provided the state an opportunity to gather and celebrate the best in Arizona’s arts and culture community and the contributions they make to our state’s arts and cultural heritage.

On Friday, January 22, 2016, Arizona Citizens for the Arts announced the nominees for the 2016 Arizona Governor’s Arts Awards. The Arizona Commission on the Arts congratulates each of these worthy individuals, organizations and institutions.

If you’d like to attend the awards ceremony, it will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Sheraton Grand Phoenix. As seating is limited, our friends at Arizona Citizens for the Arts encourage you to purchase your tickets as early as possible.
