The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) Exhibitions/Registration Intern will assist in the installation and maintenance of the museum exhibitions and care of the permanent collection under the supervision of the Exhibitions Manager and Registrar.

Internship Functions:
• Assist in the installation of museum exhibitions. Main duties will include gallery preparations, painting, basic construction, packing, handling and installing fine art.
• Maintenance of the exhibitions and specific works of art while on view, supervised by the Exhibitions Manager.
• Assist in the maintenance of the permanent collection.
• Head up collection related projects, including updating files, artist research, fine art images and records, supervised by the Registrar.

Major in Studio Art, Museum Studies, Art History and related fields
Ability to lift 60 lbs. Some experience with power tools and hand tools, must be comfortable working on your feet and at elevated heights when required and possess aptitude for quick learning, problem solving, and teamwork.
Experience with databases, Excel and Photoshop preferred.

Other Information:
Intern’s availability must be flexible with possible hours 7 days a week. Exhibitions Manager and Registrar will set the schedule.
