About the Arizona Arts Entrepreneur Toolkit:

Created by Arizona artists, for Arizona artists, Pave Program in Arts Entrepreneurship has crafted a comprehensive collection of digital tools artists can use to support the business side of their creative practice. The Arizona Arts Entrepreneur Toolkit puts resources, step-by-step instructions, and templates in one place. The toolkit’s six sections include business planning, budgeting, financing your work, public relations and marketing, legal issues for artists, and public art.

In addition to these comprehensive how to sections, toolkit users can download templates for individual, studio, and small organization budgets; guidelines for how to write a press release and a list of media outlet contacts; sample contracts; Arizona specific pricing guides, and more. Linda Essig, director of Pave, says “The Pave Program believes that artists are natural entrepreneurs and always have been. They create something unique and put it out into the world, which is the essence of entrepreneurial action. But without tools at their fingertips, artists sometimes find it challenging to connect their creative work to its intended audience.” The Arizona Arts Entrepreneur Toolkit helps them do that by providing accessible, understandable information for these burgeoning entrepreneurs.

The development of the toolkit was supported by the Arizona Commission on the Arts Art Tank Program, and production was supported by a grant from the Women and Philanthropy Program of the ASU Foundation.

If you are not attending the workshop, the Arizona Arts Entrepreneur Toolkit can be purchased for just $75, inclusive of shipping and handling. All proceeds from the sale of the Arizona Arts Entrepreneurship Toolkit go to the support of the Pave Arts Venture Incubator.
